What:              After the success of our training muster, the Landlord has asked us to return for the Beer Festival, held every year at this pub. Details of exactly what we can do in the space are yet to be finalised, and to some extent will depend on the numbers attending, more details on this to follow. The Landlord believes that we are there to have as much fun as anybody else,  and we are not likely to be short of beer!

Camping:        Campsite open from Friday 25th June April till Sunday 28th June. Water and facilities will be available. The campsite is at the back end of the field behind the pub. There is a Supermarket a short drive away, and the Landlord has offered to provide breakfast for a small consideration (please let me know if you wish to take up this offer, so that we can give an idea of numbers).

More info:       Directions follow, but if you want any more information please contact:

Where to go:

In common with many re-enactors, the pub seems to be suffering from an identity crisis, Mainly known as The Asheridge Arms, it is signposted as The Blue Ball! It is a family run free house, known for its guest beers and good food.

Driving directions:

Find the centre of Chesham, Bucks.

From the North and East that’s M25 junction 20, A41 West  to Berkhamsted, then A416 South.

From the South and West it’s M40 junction 2, A355 North to Amersham, then A416 North.

Around Chesham Town Centre there’s a section of road with several mini roundabouts (St Mary’s Way).  The landmark is Sainsbury’s, on the right if heading North, or the left if heading South.

Look for and follow signs to “Asheridge Road Industrial Estate”.  You can only turn into this road (Bellingdon Road, B4505) when heading North.

About ½ mile further, turn left into Asheridge Road, also signed for “Asheridge Road Industrial Estate”.  Follow the road, which becomes a country lane, for about 1.5 miles to the pub.

The entrance is through the car park, immediately after the pub.
